In a medium output MC cartridge is used a beryllium cantilever and a line contact stylus. The non-resonant rigid metal alloy body is not glued but is holding by machine screws. Using both SAEC's double knife edge tonearm and the ultra rigid non-resonating construction guarantee a combination where only the stylus is in motion and tracks the record groove.

SAEC C3mkII (Excel) Moving Coil cartridge
Just has become "EXCEL" engraved by the same manufacturer, as "SAEC". It is the same generator, where was replaced the cantilever and stylus. C3 has a beryllium cantilever pipe, the MkII has a boron pipe. Also seems there is a little different shape of the stylus.

SAEC MST-100 Step-Up Transformer (1984, JPY 45,000)
